The Hidden Stories of Sepsiszentgyörgy

The aim of the Tandem Turkey project is to show the hidden stories of certain locations in a given city, stories that are forgotten, banned from the every day lives of its citizens, silenced in public and social discourses. The route is set previously and accomplished together with the participants (previoulsy checked in) - the method of the proiect is called Memory Walk which means that all the participants, together with the performers involved, visit significant locations in the city, uncovering its relevance and story through a short happening/performance.

Institutional background: Tandem – Cultural Managers Exchange Turkey-EU is an initiative of the European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam), MitOst (Berlin), Anadolu Kültür (Istanbul), and funded by Stiftung Mercator (Essen).

The Sfântu Gheorghe/Sepsiszentgyörgy event will take place in the framework of the annual thematic year called "The Year Of Community Participation".
