Studio M begins its 12th season

The first premiere of the new season will be held in 22 November in the frame of Flow2 Festival in Sepsszentgyörgy. The performance will be directed and choreographed by Pál Frenák, the internatonally acclaimed Hungarian-French choreographer. This will be the first artistic collaboration of Studio M and Pál Frenák. The performance titled To_R will explore the peculiar relationships among human beings, the unspeakable and supressed voices through a combination of movement and sign language. 

Between 22-26 November will take place the Flow2 Festival, a unique dance-theatre event in the region. The first edition of the festival was organized in 2015 to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Studio M Movement Theatre. The second edition wll focus on the interconnections of visual arts, movement and theatre. Besides the invited performances the programe will complete with photo expositions, audience conferences and concerts.

The second premiere of the season will be directed by Ferenc Fehér. Elevator will be the fourth collaboration of the choreographer with Studio M and will explore the possibilities of mivement and body with the limited space of an elevator. The premiere will be held in February 2018.

The acclaimed Hungarian choreographer and dancer Dóra Barta returns to the company to direct the third premiere of the season in May 2018. Danse noir explores the place and role of the femmes fatale in our contemporary society.
