Sci-fi themed production in development

M Studio's latest show takes audiences to a real sci-fi world, the world of the Morix, where humans are transformed into cyborgs to live at the bottom of the ocean. The show tells the story of Earth, imagined as a planet where the few survivors live on overcrowded islands, through the voice of an artificial intelligence (AI). The show is about a small group of morix, cyborgs who undergo drastic evolution to survive and thrive in an underwater world. Their story is one of adaptation for survival, opening a dialogue about the future fate of humanity.

Simona Deaconescu is a Romanian choreographer and filmmaker, founder of the independent company Tangaj Collective, who works in a variety of genres and forms. She explores social constructions on the border between fiction and reality, approaching her themes with irony and black humour. She performs her work on traditional stages and in unusual spaces, in cinemas, galleries and museums, and is a frequent guest and performer at international dance and film festivals. He is the initiator and manager of BIDFF, Bucharest International Dance Film Festival.
