Danse noir - new performance directed by Barta Dóra

Barta Dóra returns to Studio M with a fresh concept and a new performance that premieres on 8th June from 7 pm in Háromszék Dance Studio. Danse noir will be the third production of the choreographer in collaboration with Studio M, she directed The Trial based on Franz Kafka's novel of the same title in 2012 and Garcia Lorca's House in 2014.

Danse noir is a performance based on the atmosphere of the film noir genre known from 1940' and attempts to present the femme fatal as a recurring figure in our culture's history. The femme fatal as the irresistible woman who drives rational men insane is known from greek mythology and is referenced in the Bible too. This performance attempts to reinterpret the motive of the femme fatal from various perspectives underlining its contemporary values.
